Max joined our Arbutus Financial team as an Intern in 2021 while he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Major in Finance at Vancouver Island University. Since graduating in the Spring of 2023, he has completed his Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and Canadian Securities Course (CSC). He is currently enrolled in courses to complete his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation.
Max was born and raised in Nanaimo and graduated high school from Woodlands Secondary. He has grown up playing on many different sports teams here in the Harbour City and Parksville. In his spare time, he likes to play hockey, mountain bike, and travel with his partner Hailey. In the Summer months he plays in the Nanaimo Sr. Baseball League and is on the board of directors for the league as well. In the Winter months Max’s passion is coaching hockey. Starting September 2024, he has been named the Head Coach of the Nanaimo U18 Tier 1 Clippers which is the highest level of hockey within the Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association.
